2024 Assembly Elections Results of Borio Assembly Constituency

While the BJP has fielded Lobin Hembrom as its candidate for the 2024 assembly election to the Borio assembly seat, which will be held on 20th November, Congress has nominated Dhananjay Soren.

 Electoral History of Borio Assembly Constituency

In 2005 and 2014 Borio seat was won by Tala Marandi on the ticket of BJP. Lobin Hembrom emerged victorious from the seat in 2000  and 2009 as candidate of JMM.  

Located in the Sahebganj district, Borio is one of the six assembly seats that combine to create the Lok Sabha constituency of the Rajmahal which is currently

Located in the Santhal region of the mineral rich state of Jharkhand, Jamtara is currently held by Irfan Ansari wo retained the sear Jamtara assembly seat in 2019 on the ticket of Congress. He had also won the seat in 2014. 

His father Furqan Ansari had emerged victorious from Jamtara assembly constituency in 1995 and 2000. 

Jamtara is one of the six assembly constituencies that unite to form the Dumka parliamentary constituency which is currently held by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate Nalin Soren who defeated Sita Soren by a margin of 22,527 votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. 

Sarath, Sikaripara, Nala, Dumka and Jama are the other five assembly segments in the Dumka Lok Sabha constituency.

One of the 81 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand, Barkatha is currently held by Amit Yadav  who won it in 2019 as an Independent by defeating his nearest rival BJP’s Janki Yadav by 24,812 votes. Amit Yadav who was once with BJP has again joined the party. Janki Prasad Yadav has also joined Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

Located in the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, Barkatha is one of the six assembly seats that combine to create the Lok Sabha constituency of the Koderma which is currently held by BJP's Annpurna Devi who reatined  the seat in 2019 parliamentary general elections.

  

Electoral History of Barkatha assembly constituency

In 2005 Barkatha was won by Chitranjan Yadav, father of Amit Yadav, as a BJP candidate.  Amit Yadav had won the seat as a BJP candidate in 2009. Janki Yadav had emerged victorious from the seat in 2014 as a candidate of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM (P).

One of the 81 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand, Barkagaon is currently held by its sitting Congress MLA Amba Prasad who emerged victorious from the seat in 2019 by defeating the AJSU’s candidate Roshan Lal Choudhary by a margin of 31,514 votes. BJP’s Loknath Mahto came third.

Located in the Ramgdh district of Jharkhand, Barkagaon is one of the five assembly constituencies, the combination of which go on to form the parliamentary constituency of Hazaribagh which is currently held by BJP’s Manish Jaiswal who defeated of the Jai Prakash Bhai Patel of Congress in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Other four assembly seats in the Hazaribagh parliamentary constituency are Ramgarh, Mandu, Hazaribagh and Barhi.

Electoral History of Barkagaon assembly constituency

Earlier Loknath Mahto was elected from Barkagaon assembly constituency three times in a row (1995, 2000 and 2005). The current MLA Amba Prasad is the daughter of Yogendra Sao who had won in 2009 as a Congress candidate. Her mother Nirmala Devi was elected from the seat in 2009.

Located in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, Bagodar is one of the six assembly seats that unite to form the Lok Sabha constituency of the Koderma which is currently held by BJP’s Annpurna Devi who won the seat by defeating Vinod Kumar Singh by a margin of  3,77,014 votes in the 2024 parliamentary general elections.

While Nagendra Mahto had won the seat on the ticket of BJP in 2014, Vinod Kumar Singh has been elected in 2019, 2009 and 2005.  

Bagodar assembly constituency has earlier been represented by his father Mahendra Prasad Singh.

The coming 2024 assembly election to the Baghmara seat will be held on November 20, 2024. In the 2024 assembly elections to the Baghmara assembly constituency in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, BJP has fielded Shatrughan Mahto,  brother of Dhullu Mahto (the current Lok Sabha MP from Dhanbad parliamentary seat). Congress has nominated Jaleshwar Mahto.

Electoral History of Baghmara Assembly Constituency

In 2019 assembly elections, the Baghmara assembly constituency had elected Dhullu Mahto who won the seat by defeating Congress candidate Jaleshwar Mahto. Earlier Dhullu Mahto had won the seat in 2014 on the ticket of BJP and in 2009 as a candidate of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) which has now merged with the BJP.

Earlier Jaleshwar Mahato had emerged victorious from the Baghmara assembly seat in 2005 and 2000. 

Baghmara is one of the six assembly seats that unite to form the Lok Sabha constituency of the Giridih  which is currently held by Chandra Prakash Choudhary of  All Jharkhand Students Union or AJSU Party. BJP and AJSU Party are in alliance for the 2024 assembly elections. 

Other five assembly segments of the Giridih parliamentary constituency are Giridih, Dumri, Gomia, Bermo and Tundi.
