Located in the district of Hisar and part of the parliamentary constituency with the name same as that of the district, Adampur is currently being represented by Chander Prakash Jangra of Congress who won the seat in 2024 Haryana Assembly elections by defeating BJP's Bhavya Bishnoi by a margin of 1268 votes.
Electoral History of Adampur Assembly Constituency
Bhavya Bishno had been elected from the seat in 2022 when he won the seat in a by-poll which was necessitated when the then incumbent MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP. Kuldeep Bishnoi is the son of Bhajan Lal, former Congress heavyweight and Chief Minister of Haryana.
A pocket borough of Bhajan Lal family, Adampur has been represented by him for many times.
