Ambedkar Nagar is one of the ten assembly constituencies that unite to form the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency which is currently represented by Ramvir Bidhuri of the BJP who claimed the seat in the last parliamentary elections in 2024. 

History of Ambedkar Nagar Assembly Constituency

Ajay Dutt is the incumbent MLA from Ambedkar Nagar assembly constituency. He had won the seat in 2015 and 2020. 

Ashok Kumar, who has later joined the BJP, won in 2013 by defeating his nearest BJP rival Khushi Ram Chunar by a margin of 11670 votes. 

Congress MLA Prem Singh had represented the seat from 1993 to 2013. 

Ambedkar Nagar is one of the twelve assembly constituencies in Delhi which are reserved for the candidates belonging to Scheduled castes.
